A fair usage policy aims to identify and address initial barriers while providing support through the community laundry.
The laundry operates two slots from 11:30am every day excluding Bank Holidays and the Christmas closure period. The slots need to be pre-booked. This gives the beneficiary a chance to wash and then dry their clothes before the centre closes for the day. They provide non-bio detergent and softener, but people are welcome to bring their own. They offer help on how to use the machines, though it’s important to note that this is not a laundry replacement service, and they accept no liability for any damage.
Additionally, individuals can book appointments or seek advice from the Green Doctors, who offer support on money matters such as energy costs, buying white goods, or general cost-of-living concerns. They provide a range of helpful services so please use this form to find out more community laundry referral form.
