Ten partners from across Furness came together to deliver a free service to benefit local people struggling with loneliness. During the project, the Cumbria CVS Furness For You team have worked with people on a one-to-one basis, offering specialised support to meet individual needs.
The Furness For You partnership covers health and wellbeing, arts and crafts groups, support with benefits, learning new skills and so much more, all for free. As the current Furness For You project draws to a close, we trust that we have created a Furness For You movement that will be long-lasting. Our hope is that this movement will take forward the ethos and build a legacy though partnership working between support organisations in Barrow and the Furness area.
We are pleased to build on this strong foundation with our website, which has the ambition to be an online support hub to meet all your needs.

Cumbria CVS (Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service) manages this website, which is inspired by the Furness For You project.
We offer help, advice, training and support to third sector groups throughout Cumbria.
We bring organisations together to form a powerful voice for our sector. Local infrastructure organisations, like us, support over 160,000 local charities and voluntary groups across the country, helping them to thrive and deliver essential services within their communities.
Westmorland and Furness Council Furness Locality Board works closely with communities, councillors and volunteer groups to deliver projects in your local area. We promote close working with our communities to make sure that local voices are heard when we develop our services and policies.
We have support teams that work with residents and community groups on issues that are important to their area.
