Live mariachi, traditional Mexican folk dancers & Aztec dancers and more out on the Town Hall courtyard! All free and all welcome!
This is Mexico! brings the vibrancy of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) to life through traditional Mexican folk dance - swirling skirts, live footwork (zapateado), and infectious energy that celebrates life as much as it honours those who've passed. Expect a performance full of heart and spectacle, plus a hands-on workshop where everyone's invited to join the celebration and dance along with us.
Mariachi el Mexicano gives you the authentic sound of Mexican music here in Barrow! Mariachi music is the unique and vibrant sound of traditional Mexican music, with an exciting blend of live musicians and colourful costumes, bring the passion and vibes of Mexican Fiesta!
And…Get ready for the Mictlan Experience! Aztec dance is coming from Calpulli Mictlan, who are coming to Barrow-in-Furness for the very first time! Experience the power, energy and tradition of live Aztec dance right here in Barrow.
