Barrow Library is a key neighbourhood hub to benefit the entire community.

As well as libraries, it offers a cafe area, a sensory room for children with additional needs, and a soundproof pod which provides a private space for services such as blue badge applications.

The café area offers space to sit and relax with a book and a drink and the sensory room provides a safe space for families with young children with additional needs. The children’s library includes stunning bespoke ship with bookshelves, flying seagulls and a tree shaped seating area, providing the perfect space for creativity, storytelling, and play.

Events and activities, are held here, including school holiday activities, reading groups, author talks, and educational events. The library hosts a monthly reading group and offers activities aimed at both children and adults. Specialist support, such as health and wellbeing resources and a Family Hub offers practical support for families.

Barrow Library also offers a warm spot for winter months.
