Support Hub
BarrowFull works with local people to make creative things happen within the Barrow community.
Current and past projects include creative workshops, festivals and public art installations, plus collaborations with local schools, artists, theatre makers and poets locally, nationally and internationally. Projects celebrate local heritage, creativity, and community spirit with accessible cultural experiences. Highlights include the summer mini Playcations festivals, the wall mural project "Paint The Town" and our springtime Festival of Colours.
Funded by Arts Council England as part of their Creative People and Places programme, the organisation aims to increase participation in the arts, particularly amongst people who have historically been less engaged.
The programme is steered by a group of local people – the BarrowFull Advisors. These people meet to talk about what Barrow needs and wants in terms of creativity, after speaking to and getting input from their local contacts, friends, families, neighbours and colleagues. Get in touch by emailing info@barrowfull.org.uk if you are interested in becoming a BarrowFull Advisor – expenses are paid.
