The Furness Branch of the National Autistic Society is free to join, and all members receive a monthly newsletter and invitations to local meetings and events. They:
- provide support through a regular Adult Befriending Group.
- offer information and signposting to autistic people of all ages and their families and carers.
- offer training in autism acceptance and understanding.
- campaign alongside other groups and organisations for better services.
- challenge policy makers and service providers to create a society that works for autistic people
They welcome members, old and new at their office at Hindpool Community Centre on Nelson St.
