Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is situated in the centre of Barrow-in-Furness and is a Christian Church that seeks to offer holistic support to everyone, including some of the most vulnerable in our town.

They offer hot drinks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00am-2:00pm as well as a free pasty and pie lunch on Wednesdays 12:00-1:00pm. Call 01229 433550.

The Salvation Army Charity Shop, based in their building on Abbey Road, sells a range of preloved clothing and household items as well as a wide selection of baby and toddler equipment such as prams, pushchairs and cots. One of their volunteers also takes preloved bicycles and cleans and checks them before they are made available for sale. By donating and buying preloved items you are not only helping them to raise funds to support their ongoing work but it is also better for the environment.
