WorkWell South Cumbria is a free, early intervention service designed to support people with health-related barriers to employment. The service is available to individuals aged 18+ (or 16+ if undertaking a work-based apprenticeship) who live in, or are registered with a GP surgery within, South Cumbria.

We can support people who:

• Are currently in work and would benefit from additional support to remain in employment.
• Need help managing a health condition to enable a return to work following sickness absence.
• Have become unemployed within the last 12 months due to a health-related issue.

We can also support people who are self-employed or currently volunteering, where their health is affecting their ability to work or move towards employment.

Our Work and Health Coaches provide personalised, one-to-one support for up to 12 weeks, helping individuals identify goals, overcome barriers, and improve their health and wellbeing in relation to work. We also connect individuals with wider local support services where needed.

Please note that WorkWell South Cumbria is a light-touch service and may not be suitable for those with highly complex needs or who have been out of work long term.
